Holiday – Music Activities From Oldham Music Service
Take a look at the two pages below. There are lots of musical activities to choose from this week and throughout the summer holidays. The first page has easy activities and the second page has some more challenging ideas.
There are some activities that you can do without the internet and some with links to YouTube to inspire you to create some music.
Stem Project
Year 4 completed a STEM project where they made their own Earthquake shake tables and competed to have the ‘safest’ structure. This project tested our science, maths, DT, engineering and cooperative skills!
Singing square – Walk like a roman
Year 4 sang ‘Walk like a Roman’ as their Singing Square song. Umar was our lead roman.
English and Drama techniques
In Year 4, we have been writing our own battle cries. To help us with our writing we have been using different drama techniques to consider the reasons we should fight in a battle.
Rotten romans homework
Mrs Griffin challeneged us to create a Roman road using different materials.
We made some very creative roads using food such as rice, black eyed peas, oats and more.
Rotten romans
In September, Year 4 went on a trip to the Grosvenor Museum in Chester. We learnt all about life as a Roman Soldier.
We dressed as Roman soldiers and marched through the streets of Chester. The armor was heavy and not easy to carry. Our chieftain, was really strict and yelled commands at us.
